What the pass is
The park describes it on its
Forum Pass SUPER page. It is valid for one admission to the
Roman Forum and Palatine area, the Imperial Fora and the SUPER sites, exhibitions included, and the page is direct about the rest: "This ticket does not allow access to the Colosseum".
It has no clock on it. The page says it does not require a time reservation, and "if purchased online it can be used within 30 days of purchase". Once it is scanned it is good for that day only. The full price is €18, and the reduced fare for EU citizens aged 18 to 25 is €2.
One date is closed to it. The page carries the line "TICKET CANNOT BE USED ON THE FIRST FREE SUNDAY OF THE MONTH", and the official listing excludes the other free admission days as well.
The trade-off: the pass costs the same €18 as a standard Colosseum ticket and leaves the Colosseum out. What it buys is freedom from the timed slot and the rooms the standard ticket does not open.
Which tickets already include the SUPER sites
The pass is one of several ways in. On the
official listing for individual visitors, read on October 11, 2026, the line "Entry to SUPER sites" appears under the 24h Only Arena ticket, under the Forum Pass SUPER and under the
Full Experience tickets with the arena, the underground or the attic. The standard ticket's listing does not include them.
For the standard ticket there is a supplement at €4. It must be bought for the same day as the standard ticket, or "within 24 hours before or after the selected Colosseum booking time".
| Ticket | Price | Colosseum | SUPER sites |
| 🎟️ 24h Colosseum, Roman Forum, Palatine | €18 | Levels 1 and 2, timed | Not included; €4 supplement |
| 🏟️ 24h Only Arena | €18 | Arena floor only, 20 minutes, timed | Included |
| 🏛️ Forum Pass SUPER | €18 | No | Included |
| ⭐ Full Experience (arena, underground or attic) | €24 | Yes, timed | Included |
From the official listing for individual visitors and the park's ticket pages, read on October 11, 2026. Prices are full fares.
Eleven travelers in our corpus asked which ticket carries the SUPER sites, or what the term means. Three of them asked about the supplement in particular.
“The regular 24hr appear to have much time slot availability, but want to make sure I'm buying the right thing.”
— Reddit, April 2025
That traveler had it right: the standard ticket at €18 and the supplement at €4. The pair costs €22, against €24 for the Full Experience ticket with the arena.
The trade-off: the Full Experience ticket is the tidy answer when it is available. The standard ticket plus the supplement gets the same Forum and Palatine rooms for €2 less, without the arena.
What is open, and when
The park's page lists what the pass includes. Beyond the open-air Forum and Palatine, the list names the Temple of Romulus, the exhibition rooms of the Domus Tiberiana, Santa Maria Antiqua, the Curia Iulia, the Palatine Museum, the Aula Isiaca and Loggia Mattei, the House of Augustus, the House of Livia and the Horrea Piperataria.
Some entries on that list carry a condition. The museum is "Palatine Museum (lower floor only)". The "House of Augustus (closed on Monday)" is the only entry with a weekly closing day. And on October 11, 2026 the list read "House of Livia (currently closed for restoration work)". The page's FAQ answers the question "Which sites cannot be visited?" with the Domus Transitoria.
Two more limits apply to all of them. Access is "until maximum capacity is reached", because, the page says, the sites preserve paintings that crowding could damage. And the doors keep shorter hours than the park: "from 9.30 am until 1 hour before closing time".
Four travelers asked when and how the SUPER sites can be entered: before a late Colosseum slot, on the evening opening, or whether the House of Augustus needs its own booking. The page has no booking step for any of them. A Rome travel channel on YouTube told its viewers in 2024 that the SUPER sites are not all open on the same days.
The trade-off: the pass has no time slot, but the rooms inside it have a capacity and a closing hour of their own. A Monday visit loses the House of Augustus, and a visit late in the day runs into the earlier closing.
What travelers found inside
Seven travelers who used a ticket with the SUPER sites write about them favorably. The words are short: worth it, fascinating, amazing.
“Once I found them, they were truly amazing archaeological sites to see, but the process of finding their individual entrances was painstaking.”
— TripAdvisor, 4 stars, September 2025
Two of the seven say the same thing about getting there: the entrances are hard to find, and that reviewer met almost no staff to ask. One traveler in 2023 managed to see a single site and still called it fascinating.
Two accounts go the other way, both from 2023. One traveler found the House of Augustus disappointing and not worth the time. The other is the harshest review in the set.
“Super Sights ticket is a ripoff.”
— TripAdvisor, 3 stars, August 2023
That reviewer found the sites closed or on limited hours, and says that where they were open nobody checked for the ticket. That is a single review from 2023.
The trade-off: the people who got inside are glad they did. The cost is in the looking: plan which rooms you want before you go in, because the park will not walk you to them.
When the pass on its own makes sense
The pass fits a second day. Two travelers bought it to come back: one after a combined ticket that tried to fit everything into half a day, one after a
guided tour that spent its time in the Colosseum.
“I ended up buying just Forum and Super sites ticket 2 days later and going back.”
— Reddit, April 2025
Two holders of Full Experience tickets say the split is what they would choose, or chose: the Colosseum one day, the Forum, the Palatine and the SUPER sites the next. Those tickets allow it, since their Forum admission can be used the day before, the same day or the day after the Colosseum.
It also fits a visit with no Colosseum in it, for someone who has seen the amphitheater before or could not get a slot. And it is the wrong ticket for the first Sunday of the month. Two travelers describe that day: one was handed a Forum pass at the Forum ticket office and sent to another line for the Colosseum, and one, writing in 2022, says the SUPER sites stay closed on free Sundays.
The trade-off: as a first and only ticket, the pass leaves out the monument most people came for. As a second ticket, it is the cheapest way back into the Forum with every door on the list.
Common questions
❓ Does the Forum Pass SUPER include the Colosseum?
No. The park's page says the ticket does not allow access to the Colosseum. It covers one admission to the Roman Forum and Palatine area, the Imperial Fora and the SUPER sites, for one day.
❓ Can I add the SUPER sites to a standard Colosseum ticket?
Yes. The official ticketing site sells a €4 supplement for holders of the standard 24h ticket. It has to be bought for the same day as that ticket, or within 24 hours before or after the booked Colosseum time.
❓ Do the SUPER sites need a time slot?
The Forum Pass SUPER does not require a time reservation, and the park's page lists no separate booking for the sites. Access is until maximum capacity is reached, from 9.30 am until one hour before the park closes.
❓ Is the Forum Pass SUPER valid on the first Sunday of the month?
No. The ticket cannot be used on the first free Sunday of the month, and the official listing also excludes the other free admission days.
Author and Method
Research by Intercoper Curator Team. Evidence read and classified in October 2026.
From a corpus of 21,308 items about visiting the Colosseum, we pulled every item that names the Forum Pass, the SUPER sites or one of the sites by name: 78 after removing duplicates. All were read and classified by hand. The counts here are these: 11 travelers who asked which ticket carries the SUPER sites, three of them about the supplement; four who asked when and how to enter; seven who used a ticket with the SUPER sites and write favorably, two of whom say the entrances are hard to find, and one who saw a single site; two who were disappointed; two who came back with the pass and two who split a Full Experience ticket over two days; and two accounts of the free Sunday. Some travelers appear in more than one count.
These are counts of accounts on Reddit, TripAdvisor and YouTube, not rates. Few reviews are about the SUPER sites alone, so this article cannot tell you how often a site is found closed.
Prices, inclusions and the list of sites were read on October 11, 2026: the park's Forum Pass SUPER page, its opening times page and the listing for individual visitors on the official ticketing site. All of it is the part that expires, and the list of what is open changes more often than the prices.
